Confessions: I have always wanted to be famous.
Just me ?!
While we are here… Let’s be transparent boo….
I have always wanted to leave my mark on this world…
And if you’re here, you probably have felt the same way before.
Since I can remember, I’ve been watching music videos thinking I was Mariah Carey jumping in the pool in her honey video ( judge ya mama! LOL), acting out soap opera’s like the “ Bold and the Beautiful”, creating plays for my church, being on a stage, acting presentations, stories, visuals, and People …. Talking to people has always always been my thing .
But with the love of people, doubt of finding
” How You want to help people “, finding ” Your influence”, and ” The hurt of trying to be so nice” to everyone can leave you feeling doubtful about your own mission, dream , or desire for career goals .
Like I said I knew what I wanted to do for a long time , but my confidence in how to start , the lack of seeing other women in fields I wanted to enter , and not being honest with myself about owning
” My Beauty Mark” , I stopped showing up authentically .
As I started to research about women in power, women who broke records, and women who started to show up authentically, they all spoke about wanting to serve, how they wanted to leave their mark, and not conforming to what other people want them to be.
You know who they are, what they have done, and most importantly they have all leveraged their personal brands. These women have built a business, projects, collaboration, content, and a fan base aka GLAMPIRES, by being themselves and believing in something bigger than them!
I believe with the rise of social media, and social pressure to be all the things, fit in, and look like the next thing. I’ve done it myself, coached, and seen women feel the need to be someone or present an image that they are not !
They have no idea that they are building or why they are doing something.
And how long will that last?
The more I started to ask questions about myself, talking with women on the street, and on social media, the more I see the need to have conversations about career , leadership, and balancing life as behind the scenes before you want to impact the world.
I know I have personally struggled with all the things…
From finding my career, mission, and overall my purpose.
Makeup was the start of my image and personal transformation process.
My inner beauty transformation started from a stolen red lipstick tube! Again judge ya mama! LOL
I knew at a young age if I was entering a career in media, I knew I was going to have to be confident in how I looked and presented myself.
More than just lipstick, makeup has helped me discover more about myself, it’s opened doors for me that I couldn’t possibly think of, and it helped me build my personal brand around finding and being yourseelf.
I launched a podcast called “ You know what Jesus” a couple of years ago, and it completely changed my life. There were people who identified with me! They experienced the same emotions, struggles, and questions that I’ve had in life.
There were so many women who reached out to me as I released episodes about struggling with depression, the struggle of communicating who they were, and overall the pressure of executing YOUR BIG VISION.
The more I started to ask questions about myself, talking with women on the street, and on social media, the more I see the need to have conversations about career , leadership, and balancing life as behind the scenes before you want to impact the world.
My mission in life is to help passion-driven women glamorously show up in content, media, business, and overall in LIFE!
Overall I want YOU to know YOU are not alone, YOU matter, YOU are noticed, and YOU have valued every day YOU are here!
You have an audience, fan base, calling, and purpose for your life!
Not showing up , being overly emotional, listening to small minded people can keep you misinformed , uninspired , and doubting what you want to create..
In my career experience, my job as a celebrity makeup artist, entrepreneur, and image consultant…
I first hand understand how confidence , not having a strategy, and feeling alone , or a misfit can play a huge role in being able to show up as your authentic self
I want to discuss ways to build your personal glampire, your confidence, staying motivated, and the importance of personal development …
For the longest time I couldn’t find someone who spoke my language in discussing serious ways to stand out and be yourself. So if you only have $20 in your pocket to start your personal brand , I wanted to be someone that YOU could go to, and get excited, get real life examples , and listen to people who want to make their own unique mark in the world like you !
More than ever, and now especially since the global pandemic of covid-19 , there are major problems in our society, government, business industry, and education system … HELL all overall in the world that WE as women are called to solve!
I believe if you’re planning to position yourself for impact and/or influence: your image, content, and message have to be centered on what you believe!
It’s a whole lifestyle boo!
So ….new name, same great content, and conversations.
I’m sure this podcast will be a laugh out loud experience.
